Sweet Potato is a root vegetable belonging to the Convolvulaceae family. Otherwise know as; the bindweed/ morning glory family.

This vegetable originates from Central and South America. It can grow naturally in a warm region, where the water supply is sufficient.

Sweet potato contains beta-carotene which is a pigment that makes some vegetables appear red-orange. When you eat a sweet potato this pigment is converted into Vitamin A. This Vitamin is necessary for growth, hair being the fastest growing tissue in the body Vitamin A is very useful.

In addition to promoting hair growth, the Vitamin A aids the scalp produced sebum.

The best way it to steam them until they turn soft. This will make them easier to mash, here is a youtube video I found that explains how to do this…

  1. Once you have obtained a puree add in all the other ingredients and mix them in

2. Apply all over your hair and scalp, before you shampoo, then allow the mask to sit for 25-30 minutes before rinsing it out with luke warm water and shampooing your hair.

Using this hair mask you could detangle before shampooing.

Well, because Vitamin A helps maintain your collagen, collagen being responsible for your skin’s elasticity making sure it is nice and toned!
